The Church: God's Family

Scripture calls Christians “members of God’s household.” When God saves someone, He adopts that person into His family—and as Alistair Begg notes, every family member should share certain identifying characteristics, regardless of their station. In each Christian, the Holy Spirit cultivates biblical humility, spiritual security, and ethical energy. When the church functions like a family as He designed it to, it brings glory to God and growth and encouragement to each member.
