Attitude Is Everything

It can be tempting to think that our obedience to God merits His favor and earns us His intervention. Alistair Begg points out, however, that the life of Joseph proves otherwise. For all his humility and faith in God’s care, Joseph received the displeasure of Potiphar’s wife and found himself tossed into the king’s prison. Nevertheless, he maintained a contrite and steadfast commitment to God. His faithfulness challenges us to love God with sincere hearts and a sure trust in His provision.
