Due to low inventory, online quantity is limited to 5 copies.

This hardcover Advent devotional contains forty daily readings that begin on the first day of Advent and conclude on the last day of Epiphany. Each daily reading is presented in a liturgical format comprised of sixteen elements, including calls to worship, prayers of adoration and confession, assurances of pardon, and praises. Other elements include readings of the Law, recitations of creeds or catechisms, Scripture readings, the Lord’s Prayer, and benedictions. The order of the elements is fixed and repeated each day, while the content of the elements changes, except for the Lord’s Prayer and the postlude.

All of the daily readings are drawn from historical writings and authors, including theologians from throughout the centuries like Augustine, Gregory the Great, John Owen, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Wesley, Thomas Watson, and Cecil Francis Alexander. Prayers also come from historical sources, including the Book of Common Prayer and the Book of Public Prayer. The liturgies are prepared for individual meditation or to be read as a group or family.

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is a cloth, gold-embossed, hardcover book with three silk ribbons for keeping place. It stores in a gold-embossed box.
