Writing to the Colossians, Paul instructed that as God’s chosen people, they were to clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Today, too, Christians are to be different from the world and are to forgive others as the Lord forgave us. Alistair Begg reflects on what it will look like for us to wear the new clothes provided by Christ.
12dPut on then, as eGod's chosen ones, holy and beloved, fcompassionate hearts, gkindness, hhumility, meekness, and patience, 13hbearing with one another and, iif one has a complaint against another, gforgiving each other; gas the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14And above all these put on jlove, which kbinds everything together in lperfect harmony.
