The Sacrifice of Himself

 (ID: 2259)

From time to time, we remember afresh the nature of Jesus’ suffering. In this message, Alistair Begg provides a potent reminder concerning Christ’s death. On the cross, Jesus was both active and passive, the officiating priest and the sin-bearing sacrifice. His death was an offering, necessary and sufficient to be our substitute. The cross is not about our works or worthiness; it is about what God has done and how mighty He is to save.

26for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, lhe has appeared monce for all nat the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
