In the Old Testament era, the principal duty of an Israelite priest was to gain access to God through sacrificial offerings. As the New Testament explains, though, when Jesus Christ died on the cross, He satisfied the punishment of sin once and for all. In this sermon from Hebrews, Alistair Begg examines Jesus’ role as our High Priest who works as our advocate and remedies our alienation from God.
