The Parable of the Sower

As crowds gathered to hear Jesus teach, some thought He was the Messiah, while others were simply curious. Jesus told the parable of the sower to distinguish the genuine seeker from the superficial listener. Like those in the crowd, many people today become disenchanted when Jesus’ message doesn’t match their own objectives. Alistair Begg warns that those who seek Jesus only to have their own desires fulfilled will turn away disappointed.
