The Good Samaritan — Part Two

 (ID: 2138)

As Jesus responded to the question “Who is my neighbor?” He undermined the ideas of status in the community of God’s people. His words teach us that good works do not gain us entry into heaven but rather are evidence that a person belongs to Christ. In light of this reality, Alistair Begg helps us understand that the familiar story of the Good Samaritan is not a model of moral obligation but a display of the tender mercy of a covenant-keeping God.
