Ephesians 4 begins and ends with an appeal for unity, which requires a commitment to practicing forgiveness—a commitment motivated by Christ’s sacrificial forgiveness of our own sins. In this message, Alistair Begg focuses on the role that forgiveness plays in the unity and witness of the church. An unforgiving heart can unravel the spiritual life of both an individual and a congregation. In contrast, those who have experienced Jesus’ total pardon should be quick to extend compassion and forgiveness.
