The Punishment That Brought Us Peace

 (ID: 2142)

In a world regularly debating the application of justice and punishment, Alistair Begg leads us to the wonder of the punishment Christ voluntarily received. Jesus was willingly rejected and crushed to justify and alleviate the problem of human sin. This sacrifice ultimately led to His exaltation—the exchange of the crown of thorns for the crown of glory and peace for all who believe.

5oBut he was pierced for our transgressions;

he was crushed for our iniquities;

upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,

pand with his wounds we are healed.
