In the cosmopolitan city of Corinth, Paul’s listeners were expecting brilliant intellect and rhetorical showmanship. What they got instead was the unadorned message of Christ crucified. As Alistair Begg teaches, that message didn’t need any additional bells and whistles, because Jesus’ death lies at the center of the Christian faith.
