According to the apostle Paul, those who are spiritually dead consider the cross foolish. Even preachers can minimize the power of the cross! Salvation, however, comes only through Christ’s sacrifice, not through man’s wisdom or eloquence. Speaking to an audience in Portland, Alistair Begg explains the centrality of the cross in our preaching and lives. The death and resurrection of Jesus is the pivotal event of history, and it remains the most crucial message for sinners in need of a Savior.
