The Lord’s Table

 (ID: 1131)

In Psalm 23, David wrote of a Shepherd who also presided as host at an abundant table. This table is a picture of Communion, an image of God’s security and provision through Jesus. When believers participate in the Lord’s Supper, it sustains our faith, stimulates our love, and settles our fears. In this message, Alistair Begg teaches that the Communion table is a gift from our bountiful God to minister distinctly to those in union with Christ.

5You pprepare a table before me

in qthe presence of my enemies;

you ranoint my head with oil;

my scup overflows.
