Listening to the Word of God

The apostle Paul admonished the Thessalonian believers to test what they heard against what they knew to be true about the Lord. Today, God’s Word is often distorted to support beliefs that contradict the essential truths of the Christian faith. In this context, Christians have a responsibility to listen very carefully whenever the Word of God is proclaimed. Alistair Begg provides five helpful guidelines to put to use whenever the Word of God is preached so that we can take seriously the responsibility to test everything.
