Jesus: His Message and His Mission

When Jesus bursts onto the scene in Mark 1, He presents a message and a mission. The message? “The kingdom of God is here; repent and believe the Gospel.” The mission? To take this message to everyone! Alistair Begg makes the point that both the message and the mission spring from the identity of Jesus Himself: He is the promised King, here to reign in the hearts of His own, and He commands us to follow. Have we lost sight of how revolutionary and countercultural this calling continues to be?
