“Isn’t This Joseph’s Son?”

 (ID: 2091)

Before going to His death, Jesus had a single intent: to preach the message of the kingdom. Alistair Begg describes the tepid response Christ’s message received in His hometown of Nazareth. Though the people initially welcomed His words, they became indifferent when they realized He was Joseph’s son, just as “common” as they were. They wanted an exclusive kingdom with a distinguished King—and the son of Joseph didn’t meet their expectations.
