In the Christian life, it is impossible to be stagnant: we are either growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord or moving in reverse. How can we know in what direction we are heading? Drawing encouragement from Peter’s second epistle, Alistair Begg presents marks of spiritual growth, conditions that promote maturation, and false criteria we might mistakenly use to measure progress. Ultimately, growth is not something we can achieve on our own. By God’s enabling, though, we can continue on the lifelong path of sanctification.
