So many Christians only know salvation as Jesus getting us out of hell, without realizing the magnitude of the victory that Christ won on the cross. Alistair Begg explains that Jesus’ triumph was fourfold: He defeated sin, conquered Satan, satisfied the Father’s wrath, and secured our salvation. Every spiritual blessing belongs to us because of the work of Jesus Christ—and a day will come when His victory, and our resultant blessings, will be revealed in their entirety.
19pTherefore, brothers,3 since we have confidence to enter qthe holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20by rthe new and living way that he opened for us through sthe curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21and since we have ta great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts usprinkled clean vfrom an evil conscience and our bodies wwashed with pure water.
