Sadly, the issue of spiritual gifts has often been divisive in the history of the church. Even so, the Bible’s teaching is clear in at least this: every believer has spiritual gifts, given and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and our diverse gifts unite us in service to the body of Christ. Alistair Begg offers two warnings for those trying to understand and implement their spiritual gifts: first, that they do not indicate our own spiritual health; and second, that they all pale in comparison with loving God and each other.
