The third commandment says the Lord’s name should not be used in vain. In various ways, however, we have all seen or heard God’s name misused. Through this study on the third commandment, Alistair Begg explains that the Lord’s name should be revered because it is precious, portrays His character, and was proclaimed by Jesus Christ. This commitment to respecting God’s name must be a change from the inside out, initiated by the Holy Spirit.
7h“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
