We are so often and easily diverted from the Gospel that we need reminders of its timeless truth. Paul, Alistair Begg reminds us, was called and set apart for Gospel ministry. This Gospel was not of human innovation but of revelation; God was its source. Its substance, meanwhile, was the power of God for salvation to all who believe. Through Christ, God reconciles us to Himself. This message is of utmost significance, answering the cries of our hearts and meeting our deepest needs.
16For dI am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is ethe power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew ffirst and also to gthe Greek. 17For in it hthe righteousness of God is revealed ifrom faith for faith,5 jas it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”6
