Establishing and leading a church is a difficult work fraught with dangers. In this message, Alistair Begg unpacks Paul’s warning to pastors and churches in Titus 3. Pastors must avoid the threat of distraction from their primary task: preaching and teaching God’s Word to God’s people. Meanwhile, the church as a whole must guard against divisive people who have taken their focus off of Christ and the Word.
9But oavoid foolish pcontroversies, qgenealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for rthey are unprofitable and worthless. 10As for a person who stirs up division, safter warning him once and then twice, thave nothing more to do with him, 11knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
