Counting the Cost

The goal of Jesus’ teaching was not to draw large crowds. In fact, His words often drove people away. In Luke 14, Jesus expressed the cost of following Him, using a series of provocative statements to explain why so few were willing to be His disciples. Alistair Begg warns that unless we are loyal to Jesus above all else, are prepared for a life of self-denial, and belong totally to Him, then we cannot count ourselves among His followers.
