Christian Faith: What Is It? Who Needs It? — Part Two

 (ID: 0542)

Christians believe in a God who moved in human history; the truth of our faith stands on a historical Jesus of Nazareth. For many, though, the question of truth is secondary to the question of meaning: “Who cares if it is true if it has nothing to offer my life?” The Bible, Alistair Begg notes, provides a clear answer: Christianity actually has everything to offer us, answering the human heart’s cries for meaning, love, freedom, and forgiveness.

6And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God mmust believe that he exists and mthat he rewards those who seek him.
