Christ Died for Us

Romans 5:8  (ID: 1991)

Reflecting on Paul’s words in Romans 5:8, Alistair Begg reminds us of the significance of coming to the Lord’s Table. When we take Communion, we recall the enduring significance of Christ’s death on the cross. His crucifixion impresses on us the gravity of sin and our need of grace. As we reflect upon it, our faith is renewed, and we recognize the foolishness of relying on our strength. Above all, we find security in resting in the cross.

8but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
