A Question of Faith

 (ID: 1743)

What did Jesus mean when He said that the cup “poured out” for us was His “blood of the covenant”? The answer to this question points to our need to have our relationship with God set right. Alistair Begg explains that a new covenant was necessary to cleanse our sin and restore our fellowship with God. Through His shed blood and death on the cross, Christ established this new covenant and met our deepest need: the need for forgiveness.
