Anyone redeemed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ has experienced the miracle of being reconciled to God. The letter to Philemon reveals the impact that this miracle has on how we live with the people around us—even those people with whom our relationships are most fraught.

In this short tour through Paul’s shortest letter, Alistair Begg shows how Paul encouraged the slave owner Philemon to put faith into action and reconcile with his runaway slave, Onesimus. Although the two men came from very different social classes and had a difficult personal history, Paul asked them to do what would otherwise be impossible: to reunite, now as brothers sharing in the life of Christ. When we follow Paul, Philemon, and Onesimus along the road to reconciliation, we see the transforming power of the Gospel at work for the glory of God.
