When God’s Word is truly preached, God’s voice is truly heard. That fundamental conviction, held by faithful disciples of Jesus since the apostles first declared the Gospel in the Jerusalem streets, ought to underpin the life and labor of every biblical pastor. And it’s with that in mind that pastors and church leaders from around the world gather each year at Parkside Church for the annual Basics Conference to be encouraged about their calling and equipped in the ministry of God’s Word.
At 2023’s conference, Alistair Begg and guests Colin Smith and Hershael York joined together to consider how faithful servants of Jesus are to proclaim a message often deemed foolish to a world marked by fear. As they remind us, while the times may change, the Christian hope remains as simple, clear, and life-transforming as ever: Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
