New Year Reminders

2 Peter 1:12–15  (ID: 2195)

As a new year begins, we sometimes ask ourselves, “How will I be remembered?” In thinking about their legacy, believers should consider the principles that guide our steps—particularly the truth that we are created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. As Alistair Begg assures us, if we understand to whom we belong, we can rest in God’s protection as we look ahead to what He has planned for us.

12Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. 13I think it right, as long as I am in this body,8 to stir you up by way of reminder, 14since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. 15And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.
