The ascension was a powerful symbol of the ultimate victory of Jesus and a guarantee of the effectiveness of His work. This is very good news for Jesus’ followers, both then and now. It means we can trust that He is King over all the universe and that His promise to prepare a place for us is ironclad. Alistair Begg exhorts us to rejoice in that reality, rest in the security of our salvation, and be energized for the good works we have been called to do
