Keynote for the Year — Part Two

Zechariah 4:6  (ID: 1379)

The temptation to think that intellect or strength will sustain us is natural—but God has established a different pattern for His people. Taking instruction from Zechariah 4:6, Alistair Begg provides a reminder of where our dependence truly lies, a warning against using human power to achieve what only God can do, an encouragement to rely on Christ, and a strategy to do so. As Christians, we demonstrate our dependence on God through committing to prayer and the study of His Word.


6Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
