Evangelism. The word alone can produce a tightness in the stomach and an anxiety in the hearts of many Christians, raising a barrier that prevents us from sharing the good news of Christ. When we misunderstand the Bible’s directives about telling the Gospel message, we may shy away from doing so altogether, thinking we don’t have the gift of evangelism or don’t know enough to be effective and leaving the task to others.
In this series, Alistair Begg equips us to understand what evangelism truly is, helps us to assess our message and motives, prepares us to face challenges, and enables us to effectively cross the barriers that keep us from presenting Christ. Much like a herald who conveys news from a king, in sharing our faith, we are called not to express our own opinions or ideas but to faithfully deliver the message the King has given to us—and then to trust God to do His work.
